Getting ready - Hook & Yarn

How to hold a hook

--As for holding the hook, there are 2 ways to do it, one is the knife grip and the other way is the pencil grip. The knife grip, it involves the hook grip part between the middle finger and thumb, with the index finger resting on the hook. As for the pencil grip, the index, middle fingers and thumb are all on the hook grip.

How to hold a yarn

Yarn OK I'll be honest learning to hold the yarn is a bit more difficult than holding the hook, the most important part is controlling the tension of the yard which in turn controls how tight you make the stitches
Is the crochet too tight? so try holding it loose
asked if you can truly learn to control the yarn is something that is only's gonna come with practice in time, so be patient!

*To hold the yarn first, wrap the yarn around the little finger. Place the yarn behind your hand, Finally, grab the yarn between your index finger and thumb.

*The tension of the yarn in between your pinky and ring finger.
The stronger your fingers on the yarn, the yarn gets tighter; the smaller the strength, gets looser.

Everyone has their own technique that works best for their hands to do, what works best for you, and try whatever feels most natural.
