How to make a magic ring

Next, we're going to start our first lesson on how to create a magic ring. We'll teach you using very simple methods, so there's no need to worry!

How to use a crochet ring

We understand that many beginners might find it challenging to hold the yarn, so we've created a helpful tutorial on using a crochet ring. If you still feel unsure about holding the yarn after finishing your first round, we invite you to watch this video for some guidance!

Single Stitch

Before learning the single stitch.

We need to know some crochet patterns.

This pattern is written in US terminology and crocheted in the round

sc --  single crochet

*** If you want to learn how to crochet, single crochet is one of the most important stitches you need to know. A majority of crochet patterns and projects incorporate single crochet stitches.

Single crochet is one of the easiest stitches to master. Once you've learned the single crochet stitch, there are infinite possible ways to use it. You can work it in rows, rounds, or spirals, as edging, in different parts of the stitch for different effects, and combined with other stitches in countless variations.

Round 1

Crochet 8 single stitches in Round 1. Crocheters love abbreviations, so in pattern speak, that's written as:

sc x 8   (8)

Since the pattern is: sc --  single crochet,

and sc x 8  means 8 single stitches,

(8)  means the total stitches.

OK, I know you already understand a little bit.

In this video, I will show you how to crochet the single crochet.

Now, let go on!

Round 2

Wow! You've done the hardest round on the previous page,
what‘s proving you have a talent for crocheting?
All you need to do is keep patient!

Increase stitch

In this round, we need to learn the increase stitch.

An Increase stitch is making two single stitches in the same hole, that is all.

crochet 8 increase stitches. Crocheters love abbreviations, so in pattern speak, that's written as:

inc x 8   (16)

Since 1 increase stitch = 2 single crochet stitches in the same stitch,

1 increase stitch counts as 2 stitches.

This means the pattern could've also been written like this:

[2 single crochet stitches in the same stitch] x 8

And

2 stitches x 8 = 16 total stitches

OK, I know you already understand a little bit。

Now, let go on!

Round 3

Good job! You've learned to crochet the single stitch and increase stitch.

Now this round will easy for U,

[sc, inc] x 8 (24)

Or with a lot more words:

[1 single crochet stitch,1 increase crochet stitch] for a total of 8 times=24 stitches

If you want to see where we're going with Round 3, watch this video:

Here's your first round of purely nice and easy single-crochet stitches!

Rounds 4-5

Great!

Let's go!

Right side & Wrong side

In crochet, the terms "Right Side" and "Wrong Side" refer to the two sides of a piece.

The right side is the one that’s typically displayed, while the wrong side is usually hidden.

Follow the video to learn how to identify the right and wrong sides. 😊

Round 6

[3 sc, inc] x 6   (30)

  • Do 3 single crochet stitches at first.
  • Then an increase crochet stitch in the one after that.
  • Repeat that sequence of stitches 6 times. You'll have 30 V's once you've finished this round.

Please see the video to go on.

Rounds 7-8:  30 sc  (30)

this is :

all the single stitches in rounds 7-8.

Relax and keep going!

----Next, we will crochet the Round 9

Round 9: [4 sc, inc] x 6  (36)

Then an increase crochet stitches in the one after that.
Repeat that sequence of stitches 6 times. You'll have 36 V's once you've finished this round.
Please see the video to go on.

Rounds 10-12:  36 sc  (36)

this is :

all the single stitches in rounds 10-12.

Crocheting!

I believe you can do it well, With the single stitches round we will not show the video again.

-----

Add safety eyes

Safety eyes aren’t safe for children younger than 3 years old, or pets. please take care!

1 it may be between the Round 6-7, count it from the top. find two points in the middle, insert 2 pins to mark
2 Replace a pin with a bead

3. Turn the piece over so you can see the end of the bead

4. Place the washer, flat side toward your piece, onto the bead.

5. Put the safety eye on a table and push down on the washer with both thumbs, so that it cinches the fabric evenly

DONE!

Decrease (dec) Stitch

Decreasing in Single Crochet, dec (This pattern is written in US terminology)

Round 13: [4 sc, dec] x 6  (30)

That is:

[ 4 single crochet stitches, 1 decrease crochet stitch ] *6=30 stitches

  [ 3sc, dec] x 6  (24)

Round 15
