1. how to make a slip knot and chain crochet stitch.

2. the front loop of the stitch

3. the back loop of the stitch

After learning to crochet  16 chain stitches,
we will go the single stitch and increase stitch on these chain stitches, now we need to learn the
single stitch and increase stitch so that you can keep going in.

 Crocheters love abbreviations, so in pattern speak, that's written as:

16 sc 

 (16)

Since the pattern is: sc --  single crochet,

(16)  means the total stitches.
